Kids & Youth @ RPC

KIDS & YOUTH @ RPC

At RPC, children and youth are just as much a part of our church family as adults are.

However, we recognise that children learn in different ways to adults. So, we run a number of groups specificially designed for the needs of children and youth, throughout the week.

All our volunteers in our children's and youth programmes have completed the required child protection training and have have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) . To find out more please click here.

Kids + Youth Sundays (preschool - yr 8)

Kids + Youth Sundays

Creche (pre-school aged kids)

Creche is offered during our 10.30am service for babies and toddlers. Parents and carers need to accompany their children in the crèche room.

The creche room is located in the Jack Watson Room, just across from the kitchen and can be accessed through the church auditorium. Just follow the signs at the back of the auditorium.

Kids' Church (School aged Programme K-6)

At Kids' Church our leaders seek to faithfully teach God's word to encourage children to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God and his amazing love for them.

Kids from week to week will can sit within the service with parents, and then after the service leader will announce the children will move to their programs. The parents need to accompany their children and sign them in at the foyer of the Talbot Hall and collect them from the Hall after the service. As always, we will be reserving the gallery above the auditorium for families.

For more information about our kids + youth Sundays, please contact us.

RP Youth Fridays

RP Youth

Friday 24th July

RPY is back on

We're a community of high schoolers, who love connecting with each other, building genuine relationships and experiencing the joy and freedom that is found in Jesus.

No matter who you are, where you've come from or what your story is.... YOU are welcome at RPY! We'll love to meet you and share with you how Jesus really does change everything!

What can you expect at RPY? Things are pretty relaxed at RP Youth...We normally kick off with some inclusive games or activities that help us to relax and have fun as a group. This is normally followed by a time of listening and sharing around the Bible, before we break off into small groups to discuss and ask questions. We love to end the night on a high with some 'omnoms' at supper.

When: 7.00-9.00pm every Friday night during school term (excludes public holidays and school holidays)

Who: High Schoolers/ youth (yr 6-12)

Where: At Randwick Presbyterian Church (Enter through our side door on Cook Street)

Growth Groups

GROWTH GROUPS

Growth Groups

Join a Growth Group

Our vision is to see every RPC member join a growth group in order to grow their love for God, to grow our community life and connection to each other, and to grow RPC’s ministry.

Why join a growth group?

Once you connect to church, the next steps are to commit and contribute. One way to commit and contribute to church is by joining a growth group.

They are called ‘growth groups’ because their aim is to facilitate God’s people to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

God’s goal for his church is to make and grow disciples of Jesus Christ (Mt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8) so that God’s people are built up to become a holy temple and mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Eph 2:21-22; 4:11-15).

Joining a growth group strengthens the church community and matures believers in the Christian Faith.

Joining a growth group also provides opportunities to build closer relationships with others. Jesus commands Christians to love one another and says that everyone will know that we are disciples if we love one another (John 13:34-35).

What is a growth group?

Groups commit to meet regularly to study the Bible, pray and build relationships.

How regularly do groups meet?

Groups meet weekly or fortnightly during school terms.

Where do groups meet?

Some groups meet in a person’s home, others in the church building.

What do you do at a growth group?

Meetings last between 1-2 hours. Some groups eat together. All groups study the bible and pray.

Groups also meet socially to have fun and build relationships.
